Shadowlands: Der neue Dungeon „Theater of Pain“

Die in dieser Woche startende geschlossene Beta von Shadowlands wird neben den Systemen für das Endgame dieser Erweiterung unter anderem auch noch den brandneuen Dungeon „Theater of Pain„ auf die laufenden Testserver dieser kommenden Spielversion aufspielen.

Die in dieser Woche startende geschlossene Beta von Shadowlands wird neben den Systemen für das Endgame dieser Erweiterung unter anderem auch noch den brandneuen Dungeon „Theater of Pain„ auf die laufenden Testserver dieser kommenden Spielversion aufspielen. Dieser in Maldraxxus positionierte Dungeon gehört vermutlich zu den nicht für die Levelphase bestimmten Instanzen von Shadowlands und sollte den Spielern daher auch noch nicht direkt auf Stufe 50 zur Verfügung stehen. Inhaltlich handelt es sich bei dieser Instanz um eine gewaltige Arena, die die mächtigsten Streiter von Maldraxxus ausfindig machen soll und die Spieler in den Kampf gegen eine Vielzahl von untoten Gegnern schickt. Während solch ein Aufbau erst einmal wie ein recht langweiliger Kampf innerhalb einer einzigen Kampffläche klingt, so wird die Instanz nach dem ersten Boss interessanterweise aber um die Bereiche unter der Arena erweitert und stellt den Spielern dadurch dann ein wesentlich größeren Areal zur Verfügung. Wer jetzt mehr über diese Instanz und die fünf vorhandenen Bosse erfahren möchte, der findet folgend sowohl Bildmaterial zu der Optik des Dungeons als auch Übersichten zu den Mechaniken der einzelnen Encounter.                                 Die Bosse im Dungeon: An Affront of Challengers: Dessia the Decapitator: Attacks her primary threat target as normal. Uses [Steel Vortex] at low health. Mortal Strike: Strikes the target for 12163 Physical damage and reduces the healing taken by the victim 50% for 10 sec. Slam: Slams the target for 18244 Physical damage. Enrage: The caster is enraged, fighting on until this effect is dispelled or until any remaining companions have fallen. Inspiration: The caster’s death inspires their allies to fight with greater fervor. All allies have their attack and casting speeds increased by 50%. Paceran the Virulent: Targets players at random with [Plague Bolt] and creates [Noxious Spores] under players‘ feet. Afflicts all enemies with [Genetic Alteration] at low health. Plague Bolt: Inflicts 3041 Plague damage to the target. Noxious Spore: Summons a Noxious Spore at the target location that inflicts 7602 Plague damage every 1 sec. to all players standing nearby. Genetic Alteration: The caster hurls vials of genetic altering plague at all enemies. While afflicted, victims suffer 3041 Plague damage every 3 sec. Fungal Bloom: The mushroom explodes, hitting all players within 100 yards for 18244 Plague damage. Sathel the Accursed: Attacks players at random with [Shadow Bolt] and [Becomes one with the Shadows] at low health. Marks allies with [Vampiric Transference] for healing. Pain Spike: The caster blasts the target with an intense burst of Shadow energies for 12163 Shadow damage. The victim then heals for 4997 over 6 sec. Necromantic Bolt: Strikes a target at random with Shadow damage. Spectral Transference: Designates the current target for Spectral Transference. All damage dealt by the caster will trigger a heal on the marked target. Mass Transference: The caster afflicts all enemies with a Pain Spike and all allies with Vampiric Transference. One with Death: The caster becomes one with death. For the next 1 min., the caster is unkillable and immune to interrupt effects.       Gorechop: Hateful Strike Tenderizing Smash: Gorechop pulls in all players and smashes the ground, inflicting 12163 Physical damage to players within 10 yards and stunning them for 3 sec. Meat Hooks: Meat hooks descend and sweep across the arena. Players that are struck by a meat hook are stunned suffer Jagged Gash. Jagged Gash Unraveling Horror: Some Meat Hooks have leftovers attached to them that attack players as they fall apart. Leaping Thrash: Leaps towards a target, inflicting 4561 Physical damage to all enemies within 4 yards. Coagulating Blood: Upon death, leaves a pool of Coagulating Blood that inflicts 5 Plague damage every 1.5 to players standing in the area and reduces their movement speed by 50%.     Xav the Unfallen: Glory: Damage dealt increased by 25% for 30 sec. Bloodied: Damage dealt decreased by 10% for 30 sec. Massive Cleave: Hazak slashes in a frontal hemisphere, inflicting 15204 Physical damage to all players struck. Blood and Glory: Upon reaching 100 energy, Xav forces players into the dueling pit below. The winner of the duel is granted Glory while the loser is affected by Bloodied. If neither player is defeated within 30 sec, both players are affected by Cowardice. Might of Maldraxxus: Xav leaps to the center of the arena inflicting 9122 Physical damage to all players and performs a random combination of attacks. Crushing Slam: Hazak slams the ground, inflicting 12163 Physical damage to players in a line in front of him. Brutal Combo: A series of brutal melee strikes that inflict increasing Physical damage to their target. Cowardice: Damage dealt reduced by 50% for 30 sec. Oppresive Banner: Xav plants an Oppressive Banner, reducing the movement speed of all players by 15% every 3 sec while it persists.       Kul’tharok: Draw Soul: The caster draws out the soul of the player, forcing it to move toward the caster. If the soul reaches the caster it is consumed, increasing the caster’s damage dealt by 50% for 1 min. While separated from their soul, the player’s body suffers 5 Shadow damage every 1 sec. and has its attack and casting speeds reduced by 0%. Kul’tharok consumes any soul that reaches her. Consumed Soul: The caster draws out the soul of the player, forcing it to move toward the caster. If the soul reaches the caster it is consumed, increasing the caster’s damage dealt by 50% for 1 min. While separated from their soul, the player’s body suffers 5 Shadow damage every 1 sec. and has its attack and casting speeds reduced by 0%. Consumed Soul: The caster draws out the soul of the player, forcing it to move toward the caster. If the soul reaches the caster it is consumed, increasing the caster’s damage dealt by 50% for 1 min. While separated from their soul, the player’s body suffers 5 Shadow damage every 1 sec. and has its attack and casting speeds reduced by 0%. Expel Soul: Expels the soul of the target, and forces the victim’s body to run away. While the victim’s soul is exposed they suffer 912 Shadow damage every 1 sec. and have their attack and casting speeds reduced by 50%. Torn Soul: Expels the soul of the target, and forces the victim’s body to run away. While the victim’s soul is exposed they suffer 912 Shadow damage every 1 sec. and have their attack and casting speeds reduced by 50%. Haunt: Haunts nearby victims with a specter that inflicts 10 Shadow damage to all players within 3.5 yards every 1 sec. Grasping Hands: Summons spectral hands from beyond the veil at several locations nearby. Players within 2 yards of the impact suffer 30 Shadow damage. If the hands manage to grab a player, they are rooted for 30 sec and suffer 10 Shadow damage every 1 sec. Spectral Reach: Blasts the target for Shadow damage, and causes the victim to suffer 18244 Shadow damage over 12 sec. Kul’tharok only uses this ability when her primary target is not in melee range. Chill of the Beyond: This creature’s presence chills players to the bone, inflicting 10 Shadow damage every 3 sec.       Mordretha, the Endless Empress: Reaping Scythe: Mordretha summons a scythe and strikes her primary target, inflicting 15204 Shadow damage and 50 Physical damage. Dark Devastation: Mordretha channels a beam of Anima, inflicting 3041 Shadow damage every 0.5 sec in a line. Manifest Death: Mordretha haunts all players, inflicting 912 Shadow damage every 1 for 6 sec. When this effect expires, it inflicts 20 to the player and allies within 6 yards and summons a Deathwalker. Deathwalker Soul Bolt Grasping Rift: Mordretha tears open a Grasping Rift that draws all players towards it for 6 sec. Players that are pulled into the Grasping Rift are afflicted with Death Grasp. Death Grasp: Stuns the victim, rendering them unable to move or attack and inflicts 1824 Shadow damage every 2 sec for 8 sec.     (via)
