Nachdem die Pläne für die Veröffentlichung einer Game of the Year Edition von Overwatch bereits vor einigen Wochen versehentlich durch den Shop der Xbox One im Internet geleakt wurden, haben die Mitarbeiter von Blizzard Entertainment diese besondere Version von Overwatch im Laufe des heutigen Nachmittags nun endlich als Teil der Feierlichkeiten für den morgen anstehenden ersten Geburtstag dieses Titels in ihrem offiziellen Shop freigeschaltet. Diese neue GotY Edition von Overwatch ersetzt dabei dann scheinbar die digitale Version der bekannten Origins Edition des Spiels und beinhaltet zusätzlich zu den kosmetischen Inhalten dieser Variante des Spiels dann auch noch 10 zusätzliche Lootboxen für die Spieler. Praktischerweise wurde die Veröffentlichung der GotY Edition von Overwatch von einer weiteren Rabattaktion in dem Shop von Blizzard Entertainment begleitet, weshalb die normale Version des Spiels, die neue GotY Edition und das Upgrade von der einfachen Variante auf die GotY Edition aktuell auch alle zu einem stark reduzierten Preis angeboten werden. Während neue Spieler die grundlegende Version dieses Hero Shooters aufgrund dieser Aktion jetzt auf allen Plattformen erneut für nur noch 19,99 Euro erwerben können, so wurde der Preis der neuen Game of the Year Edition von den eigentlichen 59.99 Euro auf 39,99 Euro reduziert. Das Upgrade auf diese neue Variante des Spiels kostet im Moment grade einmal 9,99 Euro, was einen recht guten Preis für eine Reihe von kosmetischen Inhalten und 10 Lootboxen darstellt.
